In science class were are constanly doing activities and projects. Mrs.Poole is my science teacher. Science seems so fun. In science class we are learning different things everyday. I have Mrs. Poole everyday except for Tusday. On Wensday, I have science for two periods. Some of the activites that we do in science are: examing things under a microscope, measuring items, asking meaningful questions, etc.
Glogster is an online poster. This poster will be explaing how and what the characteristics of life are. I put picyures, videos, and information to help you understand the characteristics of what they are. I learned that every living thing responds to change, has cells, reproduces, have DNA, they grow and develop, and use energy. If you did not have any of these things you would be dead.
The tools that I used for this project are: I used Google, for the pictures and videos and I used my science book to reasearch the topics. It was pretty easy, until you had to embed, videos and pictures.
The learning that I made with this project was the characteristics of a living thing. I never knew that you needed all these characteristics to live. For example, every person has cells. Every living thing is made up of DNA. DNA is the traits that get passed down to other generations. It is what you inherit from your family and relatives. DNA is very important ,because it can help scientest determine what is wrong with a person. It helps to diagnose peoblems that might be passed down to their children. It will probably help the scientest find a way to prevent illnesses from happening or be better prepared to handle them.
The connection I made was that my straght hair and my near sided vision, got passed down from DNA. The other connection I made was that my uncles green eyes got passed down from his father, or my grandfather.

In Mrs. Poole's science class, we are learning about genetics. We learned everything so far from genotype to phenotype. The picture that you see is about what a faimly would look like if they have different genotypes and phenotypes. This project is very simple.
This certain project actually help me learn this concept more better.
