I am super excited today, because two days after today will be our Spring break. I can't wait! Spring break last a week and a day. I am also looking forward to go on a trip this Spring break  I am also looking forward to spending time with my family, I hope that it is hot next week, so I can swim. What is your favorite part of Spring? I am also looking forward to April Fools Day, which is that extra day after the week. April 1st is also my uncle's birthday! I wonder if anyone will pull a prank or joke on him instead of giving him a present! Do you do any pranks on April Fools Day?

The best part about Sping Break is spending time with your family. Sometimes you have so much school work and your family is mostly busy throughout the week, that you don't have enough time to spend with them. Another big part of Spring Break is Easter. When it is Easter time, my family and I hide eggs for my younger cousins. They really enjoy this, and it is really fun to see them with a smile on their face. We also have a barbecue outside. The food is really great. When you have Sping Break, don't forget to spend time with your family.

Have you ever heard of the Middle Ages? If not, I am going to tell you my favorite parts that happened. My first favorite part, was when King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta. Thus document stated that everyone should be treated properly and equal. The reason why I like this is  because back then the king would decide everything for you. You did not have freedom. The Magna Carta had to be followed by everyone, including the king. My second favorite part is that pope's had more power than kings. I liked the part were Pope Gregory and King Henry were fighting. They fought, because they wanted to know who had more power, kings or popes.

What is your favorite part of the Middle Ages? Have you learned the Middle Ages, but forgot some important parts? Well, don't worry click here to read about the Middle Ages. If you learned something new, be sure to share those fun facts with someone else. Who knows, maybe you will inspire them to learn about the Middle Ages as well! If you know any other interesting facts, share them with me, by commenting!

Have you ever heard of the most dangerous virus, in the Middle Ages? If you have no clue, that dangerous plague is called the Black Plague. The Black Plague killed millions in Europe. In my history book, it stated that two thirds of Europe's population was killed. This was also a great deal to feudalism  It paid surfs and peasants a lot more that in normally did, because a lot of peasants died. Without those peasants and surfs. who would farm and harvest? Another thing that would happen if people would know you were sick, you had to stay inside and never come out  because they did not want you to spread it to other people. If you did manage to escape, officers would let you be, because they did not want to touch you either.

Most of the Black Plague symptoms are vomiting blood, a very high fever, and you always feel tired. There was many other symptoms, but those are just a few. If you had some of these symptoms you had to options to look at: you either have a normal fever or you had the Black Death. It was tough to know if one of your family members had the plague, because that would mean that you might not see them again. The Black Plague was a really bad virus; I am glad that I did not live in the Middle Ages!

I could not believe how surprised I was when my uncle told me if I could serve for him in the war. He had said that he was very weak and fragile. I did not know what to say. I did not want my uncle to die of how weak and sick he was, but then I also did not want to be gone for more than a year from my family. Right when he said that to me, those exact things were what I was thinking in my head. He said the army would leave in about two weeks, so I had until then to make my decision  The next morning, I talked to the priest to lead me and guide me into doings what is right, going or staying. Of course  he said I should go. Then I decided to take a nice and calm walk to help me think about this more. While I decided, I ran into my old best friend, Michael. I talked to him about this and he really helped me out. He said I should go, not for me, but for my uncle. After listening to what the priest and Michael were telling me, I decided that I should go, not for myself's sake, but for my uncle.

Two weeks rolled by fast. My uncle was really glad and thankful to hear that I had agreed to go. In gratitude  he gave me his best fighting sword and helmet. Those two items really caught my eye. I thanked him, and about thirty minutes later, the army troop came to pick me up.  I was well on my way to becoming a knight. After about two hours of traveling, the army took me to see the Pope. The Pope had to make me an official knight. Right after we had done that, the troops taught me how to start fighting. We practiced every day. At first, they felt that if I was not well trained for the war, England would be in great danger. I proved them wrong. About a week later, I was as good as one of the men who was already fighting.

It was the day before the war would happened. I was really scared, but I kept thinking on how much I saved my uncle's life. Right after we arose from bed, we had to start practicing. Normally when I go to practice I don't feel nervous  but , today I felt kind of scared. I tried my best and put my effort  into practice, and I learned everything there was to know. A guy right next to me told me that I was a strong person. He said that I can handle this war. This made me feel more confident.

The day the war came, I was as confident in myself. I had a feeling that everything was going to be great. I felt even more confident  because I practiced alot.  The war was a real life expirence for me. I have never imagined that it would be very scary and harsh. The war had really shown me who I really was, and who I was fighting for . I kept thinking about my uncle when I was fighting. I felt really happy and glad that I had saved his life by fighting in the war.

I came home about a year and two months later. My family was really was really excited to see that I was alive. My uncle was really grateful as well. Right there in that spot, I felt very great that I had fought for my uncle and saved his life. Later on, my uncle started getting healthier, and  he helped me train in  my jousting.

I arose from my daily nap to astonishing news. My father, the king, told me that I was to marry my friend. I could not belive it. I can not just simply marry someone I knew since I was a child. I would have told him that I was not going to, but I knew if I did, I would be in huge trouble. So I went along with it and decided to tell him right before the ceremony  If things could have got any worse. To my luck the next day we went to shop for wedding outfits and things for the huge party at the end. When we got to the wedding dress shop, I saw the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. I asked my mom, and ofcourse she tried to change the subject with a different dress. My mother decided to have my wedding dress ribbon blue, I never liked the color blue, but I just went along on with it. My ceremony was the color blue. Oh! You could imagined on how I felt.

It was time. It was the last day that I would live my single life. Words could not explain how I had felt. In other word, I was nervous!  The time came to see him. I thought I was going to regret this, but I knew I was doing the right thing. I took a glance back at my dad He smiled. Then I looked up at him. It was as if he grew up from being a small rather weak child to a strong man. After the wedding,we had a grand party. It was very beautiful! Years later after the wedding  I knew my father was right, I never regretted getting married. Now my life s like a fairy tale.

It is a very long and cold night laying down here next to Bear. It seems as if he is fighting with someone in his dreams. It also seems that every time I try to fall asleep I keep thinking about all the bad things that have happened to me so far. I think about my mother's recent death, Father Quinel's slit throat  and what eles will happen if I still stay here with Bear. Bear is a awkward man, he seems very crazy. He always wears that split hat with bells at the end of it with those two colored pants, a blue leg and a red leg. The next morning, Bear tied me up to a tree so I can't move or have any thoughts of running away while he goes and gets some food. I still can not belive that I sweard to be his servant and to never run away from him as long as I live. About two hours later, he comes back with what seems to be a big, plump dead rabbit. I wondered why he killed that poor creature. I was so hungry, so I ate it anyway. After that wonderful meal, I just wondered what Bear would do next. Bear took me down to the riverside. He asked me if I have ever seen what I looked like. I told him that I never seen myself. He told me to look into the river, so I did. I have never seen such a dirty person.Bear told me to wash off. Once I did, he grabbed his glavie and quickly slashed my hair off.I was left with a nice haircut. Bear asked me if I looked different .I told him yes. Then we were off to go preform for the crowed. I felt kind of nervous.

Have you ever heard of the book Crispin. This is a book by Avi. Crispin is a book about a child who loses his mother, and wants to learn what happened to his father. Crispin meets a huge man named Bear. Bear later becomes his friend.  In the book, the setting is in Medieval Europe. This is the current novel we are reading in my Core class. We are reading this book, because it goes along with my history lesson, which is the Middle Ages.

I was walking home from work, ready to relax from all that farming I had done. I walked to the hill were I climb to get to to my house, when suddenly I saw black smoke! It looked like a huge black hole. I was terrified!  I ran to my village to see if anyone survived, and that is when I noticed that my town was not only smoking, it was on fire! I could not believe this. When I ran closer to see what was happening, I saw people running toward me. I started to run to. I ran and ran as fast as my legs would take me. Finally, my town and the smoke were out of sight. I can back about a week later, to see what was left of my town, but it was just all burnt. A man was right there also looking to see if anything survived from his house. He told me that everyone survived. I was glad to hear my family was alive. Months past, and my city started to rebuild its self. When I thought about what happened, I was really glad that everyone was alive. I was really amazed how such a huge fire or all of that smoke did not kill anybody.

It has now been five years since the fire had destroyed my village. My village is now rebuilded and it feels like home again. What is left of the fire is a small little bush. It grows next to my house, and I always water it. I know there will be a day when the bush can not survive any more, just like we could not avoid the fire.

Today is Core Concentrations Thursday. In this blog, I will be blogging about the king of the Franks, Charlemagne. Charlemagne  was also the ruler of the Romans. In the 800's Pope Leo III, crowned him king of the Romans. The setting was in Europe. Europe is were Charlemagne went most of the time. Being king of the Romans was on of the important reasons why he was famously known. People also called him "Charles the Great", because his name was kind of hard to pronounce. His real name Charlemagne means the same thing as "Charles the Great", but in Italian. He was a very important part in Medieval history, or the Medieval Times. Charlemagne also was very popular with an empire called the Franks, because he was their leader, or king. This is pretty interesting, because he was king of the Romans, and Franks. I wonder what would happen if those two groups got in a fight!

This is our current lesson for History. We are not only learning about Charlemagne  but we are also learning Europe, and also the second part of what happen to Rome after in fell. I hope that you have learned a little bit more about Charlemagne and Europe. I think that this is a really interesting topic. What do you think?

Today is Core Concentrations Monday. In this blog I will be blogging about that winter break is almost here. It is only a day away! Beginning on December 21. Over winter break, I will be enjoying the holidays, and going to sleep, of course. We have three weeks of winter break. I already know that those three weeks will go by fast. When we come back after winter break quarter three will be starting, and that quarter is a little longer than usual. What are you going to do over winter? I can't wait until the holidays come! I also I can't wait for it to rain! Rain means that plants will grow in May. If trees get a lot of water, they can provide more air for us to breathe. Everything grows when it rains.

This is my blog for Core Concentrations. I hope that you agree with what I have to say. What is your favorite part of Winter Break? Some people just think of having a nice two week break, insted of actually payining attention to what is in front of them, which is nature. I hope over Winter Break you will think about nature, because without trees and plants, we would not be alive, because trees bring in air that you breathe.

Today is Core concentrations Thursday. In this blog I will be blogging about the two most important achievements in Chinese history. Our CORE class is currently learning about China. The first important achievement that I think is important is the fact that they made ships. The Chinese had built ships that were about 400 feet tall. The second important achievement is the development of weapons. The Chinese were good at inventing weapons. They made all kinds of weapons to defeat their enemies. There is many more acheivements the Chinese had, but I think these are the two most important ones. Athough the Chinese had other different acheivements, I think these are the two most important ones. What do you think?

Todays topic was about Chinese acheivments. I hope that you have learned more about ancient China and their achievements. This is the current chapter in our seventh grade text book. It is fun to earn about other cultures and their traditions, don't you think?
